Yes. All vehicles do. It's not really a switch, per se, but a relay that energizes the fuel pump. When you turn your ignition key, a relay opens to allow your fuel pump to work. The relay is built into several circuits, and if there is no fuel the engine shuts down. This is in case you are in an accident, and smash your vehicle, your fuel pump won't pump gas all over your non-running engine.
