Do all kia sportage 4x4 have timing belts?
All Kia 4 by 4's have timing belts. Some newer cars have chains but the Kia isn't one of them.
I have a 1999 Villager Sport with that same engine. I am doing the timing, water pump and belts on it and found out that the 3.3L is a TIMMING BELT. CarQuest has some awsome prices on the timing kit accessory belts and water pump. I paid close to $195.00 with tax in FL for all these components. Hope this helps!
All sienna 2008 or older have timing belts. It easy to tell look at you sienna and see if there a timing belt cover. that covers the cylinder head. All vehicles that use timing chains are enclosed and not cover is showned. Since the timing chain is always be lubericate by the engine oil all the time. That's why it not exposed.
i have replaced the timing belt on my 1999 sportage, so i hope the 1998 is basically the same. remove all the shrouding from the around the fan. loosen the alternator and aircon compressor and remove belts. remove the fan, mine had six bolts on the inside of it. i use an old mirror to check location. remove the guards from the front of the engine to expose the timing belt. loosen the tension pulley…
