All Kia 4 by 4's have timing belts. Some newer cars have chains but the Kia isn't one of them.
all sportage up thru 2002 have timing belts.then they had a big model change.
standard mileage for most all timing belts is 70,000 miles, but not many Jeeps have belts, they have chains that do not need to be replaced

4 cylinder have timing chain starting with model year 2003, prior to that it was all belts. V6 engines still have timing belts.
as far as i know all Lexus have timing belts which require replacement every 60 or 90,000 miles depending on the year.
No ... timing belts and the transmission are not related in any way. The timing belts are in the engine and keep all the pistons functioning properly. The transmission uses the power from the engine to drive the wheels.
All 1995 Celica's are fitted with timing belts.
All petrol & diesel engines are listed as having timing belts fitted.
The sohc engines were, the dohc engines are not the above info is wrong ,DOHC is an interference engine on Kia sportages ,i rebuild them all the time, please replace timing belts when specified, damage can be tremendous.

all timing marks are on the belts and cams. just line them all up and it will be timed
3.3L and 3.8L engines have a timing chain. All other engines have timing belts
