In some cat breeds, the coat color changes in winter, and than returns to its original form in the spring. Also, as kittens grow into cats, their coats change color until they are one year of age.

this also depends on who the father is: normally the kittens will be 2 of the mother's colouring and 2 of the father, however, sometimes the female could have mated with several different males, so it is a toss up., also the mom may only have as few as 3 kittens or as many as 5. it will be a true surprise!

If the mother (and father) of this white cat was white also, and as far back as you know, there have only been white cats with white ancestors, and also the "father" of the kittens is white with a white history of relatives, then you can be pretty sure that the offspring will also be white.

A white cat that have no traceable history for its ancestors looks may or may not produce white offspring.

Even a white cat that mates with a black cat may produce all white offspring if this is in the genepool of the black cat.
