How is life affected by the presence or absence of plants animals minerals and other resources?

animals need oxygen and plants produce oxygen. if there is no light for photosynthesis, then plants can not produce oxygen and animals cannot survive

Is oxygen good for you?

yes. every living thing --except plants-- needs oxygen in order to survive. we "filter" the air that has many substances and gases in it --such as pollution, oxygen, CO2 (carbon dioxide), hydrogen, etc. --and use the oxygen for our immune system, internal organs, and other necessary things inside of us that need oxygen. we also take in the other gases in the air and breathe out what we don't need. one of the gases that we mainly breathe out is CO2, since there is an increase of it in our atmosphere because of global warming. one of the things that produce oxygen is plants. when they take in CO2, they give out oxygen. that is why plants are very important and we need to stop global warming and other natural effects caused by man kind. now do you understand why oxygen is good for you?

How plants and animals help each other in exchangingof gases in the atmosphere?

Plants give out Oxygen. Animals give out Carbon Dioxide. Plants take in Carbon Dioxide, Animals take in Oxygen.

Do plants produce food when there is no oxygen?

Plants need oxygen so they will not grow if there is no oxygen. So if we travel to Mars or the moon, we will have to have to bring oxygen for our greenhouses. Plants improve air quality so we need plants when we visit other worlds.

Describe the purposes and process of photosynthesis?

that plants and some other organisms use to make sugar for food.

Which gases are in oxygen?

Oxygen is an element - it contains no other constituent gases.

Why do most plants and animals need oxygen to survive?

Although plants to use oxygen, they emit unneeded oxygen into the atmosphere. This helps to replenish oxygen supplies for other organisms.

Do any plants produce as much carbon dioxide as humans?

No, it's the other way around. Plants intake Carbon dioxide and put out Oxygen. In the theory of how the world formed, this is how the atmosphere got to contain Oxygen, from plants spreading over the continents and producing Oxygen.

What gases are formed in internal combustion?

An internal combustion engine uses either petroleum or diesel. In both cases, the main gases produced are the result of burning the hydro-carbons contained in the fuel. The hydrogen burns with oxygen to produce water vapor (H20) The carbon burn with oxygen to produce carbon dixode (CO2) Other elements are burned and produce very small amounts of other gases.

What percent of oxygen does the earths grass produce?

The Earth's grass produce 20 to 30 percent oxygen. The other 70 to 80 percent of oxygen is produced by marine plants.

Who is the English chemist who discovered that green plants produces oxygen during photosynthesis?

Joseph Priestley (right) found that plants could "restore ... In other words, he discovered that plants produce oxygen.

Is oxygen good for the body?

Yes, it is, without oxygen that you breathe, you probably would be dead. But sometimes it is not because of what we do to it... Polluting it! this is a good answer but read this one for more information, explanations, and details. yes. every living thing --except plants-- needs oxygen in order to survive. we "filter" the air that has many substances and gases in it --such as pollution, oxygen, CO2 (carbon dioxide), hydrogen, etc.
