Depending on your definition of werewolf, yes and no.
There is a physical werewolf, and I could not tell you if they ever existed or not. This is when a human physically transforms into a wolf.
Then there is the Hollywood werewolf, which is similar enough not to reexplain.
Then there are spiritual werewolves, who practice meditation techniques that allow them to take on wolf-like attributes, which can sometimes alter their appearance slightly. This last breed of werewolf is not extinct.
Werewolves are a human being, typically male, that turn into a vicious wolf-like being at full moon that can stand on two legs and only be stopped by silver bullets. In normal life they may have adapted sences such as hearing and smell but only turn into a wolf at full moon.
Werewolves don't exist, they are purely fictional.
The only reference to a real life werewolf is when a child was lost in a jungle somewhere is south America and 16 years later it was found and had taken on animalistic qualities. After being taken into human society, they couldn't cope and died a few months later
by Havok.
actually, werewolves do exist and are not strictly males...werewolves do exist and though there is no evidence on record that can be seen by the public eyes, we do exist, and peopel know it, you just have to meet one and ask them to prove it.
