People do that ... all the time.

But hot aluminum will partially vaporize (into the chicken) and it's toxic. Not a great idea.

Save the aluminum foil for wrapping things that go into the refrigerator.

Foil may be used to prevent the meat from too much browning, or the chicken may be left uncovered if a crisp skin is desired.

Which side to use tin foil to bake?

An alternative to using tinfoil when baking is cooking parchment or a glass cover (make sure it is oven safe). The tin foil is solely there to block some of the heat from escaping.

If the roaster fits in the fridge, and the fridge is cool, then yes you can leave it in overnight. I would be sure to have a cover on it just to prevent it from drying out.

How long do you bake skin on chicken thighs?

I typically place the chicken on a broiler pan and bake it at 350F for 30 minutes. Always check it to make sure the juices run clear (I typically stab the largest piece in the center with a fork to make sure there is no blood in the juices) before serving. The standard internal temperate for chicken is 165F if you happen to have a meat thermometer.

Do you bake or broil pork roast?

Braise it. Put it in a casserol dish with a bit of water, cover it with foil or a tin pie pan, and cook it in the oven at about 400 - 450 ºF. It doesn't really matter much whether you use the bake or broil setting.

What is an easy recipe that uses chicken and potatoes?

Turn on oven, to preheat it to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Wash and quarter enough potatoes (with or without skin; your choice) to line the edges of a 9X13 (foil-lined) baking pan. Wash and cut chicken (with or without skin; your choice) into desired pieces, laying them in the pan as you go. Cover with foil, and place on center rack in oven. Wait 45 minutes, carefully remove from oven, carefully remove foil cover (there will be steam), and inspect. Chicken is done when juices run clear when chicken is pierced with a fork. Try not to pierce the underlying foil. If they need more time, leave uncovered and check every 5-10 minutes. I like to sprinkle a little bit of Italian-herb spices on the chicken and add sliced onions, whole garlic sections, and sliced carrots to this before putting it in the oven, but it's your tastebuds!
