So wrong no. Do not pour it into plug use the transmission fill hole which is on most cars but i see you got small Ford Escort you have a dip stick like oil stick under the hood remove tranny stick then make sure you pluged your transmission fill the ATF or MTF depends on what type of transmission you have fill to whats recommended then run vehicle and check transmission with dip stick always check while running vehicle to get correct reading.
If it's standard there is a plug in the side of the transmission, if it's an automatic pour it into where the dipstick is.
on the 5 speed manuel theres a plug on the side of the transmission, remove the plug and use a syphon pump to add fluid until it starts to pour out the hole. to remove the existing fluid remove the plug from the bottom of the transmission.
through the transmission stick if its sealed then you have to go under and take the check plug and pump it in there but if you do that, MAKE SURE YOU DON'T TAKE OUT THE DRAIN PLUG
there is no dipstick to check the fluid, the fluid is lifetime and never needs to be changed or serviced, there is a fill plug on the bottom of the transmission, engine running, and trans warm, fluid should pour slightly out of fill plug..
Manual transmissions don't have dipsticks. The only way to check the transmission fluid is to open the fill plug on the side of the transmission. The fluid should be level with the fill hole so it should pour out slowly when you remove it, just a small steady stream. If it does not, it means it is below the fill plug and you should add a little at a time until it is level with the fill plug.
It depends on the car...if it is an automatic you pour it in the dipstick tube where you check the level...it the car is a manual there is usually a fill plug on the side of the transmission.
Pull out the transmission dipstick and pour in fluid with a narrow necked funnel.
Assuming we are talking about an automatic transmission, you remove the transmission dip stick and pour fluid into the dipstick tube.
Buy a transmission funnel and pour the fluid in the dipstick tube.
where do you pour transmission oil on a 5 spd
Typically you use a funnel and pour it down the dipstick tube. This person obviously does not have a 2005 Tacoma, as the vehicle does not have a dipstick. It is a sealed transmission. The owners manual advises never to change the transmission fluid but, if you just want to do it, there is a fill plug on the side of the transmission itself. The drain plug is a two-stage design also. Of course, you will take it out in order to drain the fluid. However, after snugging it back in, back it out just a little. This opens the fluid check tube inside without draining any fluid. Fill from the fill hole until it starts to drip out of the drain plug. Tighten the plug back all the way, replace the fill plug, and you are done. These instuctions are available (with illustrations) on the Toyota tech site.
I have a 1993 Ford Explorer. There is no fill plug for transmission fluid. I imagine that the 1994 Ford Explorer would be similar. To fill, use a funnel and pour the transmission fluid directly into the tube that holds the dipstick. Do not fill past the full line on the tank below.
