The recommended mileage to change a timing belt on a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder is 100,000 miles. The belt may need replaced before this.
hi, my friend the cost to replace the oxigen sensor depends if you go to the Nissan dealership is about $120.00 for one oxigen sensor or you can go to the discount auto parts, will cost $70.00 and it's easy to replace. you can do yourself and save a lot of money!! but make sure what sensor is not working because your Nissan pathfinder have 4 oxigen sensor. one before the catalistic and one after the catalistic. but Nissan pathfinder have two catalistics.
The 2000 Nissan Pathfinder has a total of four oxygen sensors - two before the catalytic converter, and two after the converter. The front sensors have 3-wires, and the rear sensors have 4-wires. For a good quality OE-style sensor, they'll cost around $100 each.
before you start messing with your brakes you should learn to spell rotors right.. if you cant spell the part you shouldn't be messing with them
"A person should make sure that they are buying this used Nissan Pathfinder from a reputable dealer with a warranty. If you are not, you should take it to a mechanic before signing anything."
You have to put a Nissan hose back on.Aftermarket hose will not work.
I have your answer for you. I talked to Nissan about this before. First of all, the 2001 Nissan Pathfinder doesnt have a timing belt. It has a timing chain. And Nissan doesnt set a life to these components. It is pretty much ment to last a long time and when it does go. then you need to replace it. Sounds odd but that is what the mechanic at Nissan told me. when it goes it will warp the valves and possible the pistons will hit the head and just destroy the engine. what to listen for when u need the timing chain replaced is metel slapping something or should i say like it isn't oiling properly. i would have it checked out every 60,000 miles.

i suggest going to nissanpathfinders.com and go to the forums, they know their stuff there
There is no such thing as normal water pressure, it is changing all the time due to demand in the water distribution system. If a PRV is needed then the pressure is higher upstream than is wanted.
I drive a 2000 Nissan Sentra GXE. Currently I have about 145,000 miles on it. I spoke to my mechanic regarding this and he said since its a chain, it never needs to be changed. No change is required.
I brought my 1997 pathfinder to Nissan and they told me that this happens all the time when you reach a certain km. What it is is a small valve at the back of the transmission that does not close properly when the engine is cold. That small valve needs to be replaced, but the problem it's way at the back so having your transmission completely redone is a better way to go. This valve does not close the pressure cannot build up and you cannot go into reverse.... what you can do if it's just starting to do this... try putting it in drive then reverse or warming up the car before taking off or what Nissan told me which is really stupid..... park the car in backwards....
