Putting a gasket fuel pressure regulator in a car is easy. All you do is take off the hose and unclasp the old one and reattach a new one.

Remove the fuel fill cap that should take fuel pressure off and it would be safe to release the filter and change it!
there should be a valve on the fuel rail on the engine that you release the pressure, it looks just like a tire valve.

Remove the gas cap. Look for a schrader valve on the fuel rail to release the pressure. If there is none then wrap the fuel filter connection and be prepared for a spray of fuel.

Locate and pull the fuse for the fuel pump. Crank the engine for 5-10 seconds. No more fuel pressure.
