Automatic trans. on Neons used to have problems with the solenoid packs sticking. Check to see if you have a transmission controller code. If it has a code for L/R solenoid stuck in L or R poistion, put a solenoid pack in it. It might just be that the trans needs to be overhauled.
dirty tranny fluid
Yes it will... you need to switch the flywheels though to mount it to the automatic transmission...
The automatic transmission solenoid s are inside the transmission, on the valve body.
may just be a transmission sensor - $20 part - start there...
check the fluid level
It may fit, but it will not shift as they have different governor types.
Nope, only a 5 speed Autostick automatic transmission.
It may bolt in, but the automatic would not shift. The control systems are not the same.
It will bolt up, but the internal sensors are wired differently. So it will not shift.
Yes, the transmission from a 1996 Dodge Ram 3.9L will fit into a 1997 Dodge Ram 3.9L. They will both have to be automatic, or manual shift, though.
if it is automatic then this would be caused by shift down is not working in transmission
80/90W In the rear end the same in the transmission as long as its a standard shift transmission and not a automatic
