check to make sure they used the right tranny fluid. a Dodge ram takes special fluid, which is called atf +4. any other type and the tranny will not shift properly and the torque converter will sometimes lockup at a complete stop.
Check shift sensor
Check and/or change transmission fluid and filter have transmission rebuilt
faulty speed sensor in the transmission
Probable failed throttle position sensor.
if spedo dont work ether its a speed sensor
Not sure what you mean by transmission selector sensor. The transmission range sensor reads what position you have selected with the gear shift lever.
The speed sensor sends a signal to the speedometer to show the correct speed and it sends a signal to the transmission telling when to shift. If the speed sensor is bad the speedometer will not work and the transmission will not shift correctly.
speed sensor on top of transmission,if the speed sensor does not work then the shift inside the trans is broken and trans will need to be rebuilt
Not inside, the crankshaft position sensor goes through the top passenger side though.
The speed sensor is located under the shift linkage on top of the transmission and is only held in place by one (10mm) screw.
could be a sensor, had my 99 ram do it to me when i had 10,000 miles, lucky it was under warranty. it did it to me again at 30,000 it was another sensor at transmission
There is a sensor on the cam shaft that may be effecting things.
