drop trans pan with drain pan under the trans
ZF-1 transaxle fluid
Auto
No, they are totally different transmissions. The 2003 is a 5 speed automatic of a new Honda design.
There is no trans filter on the Accord. You drain the fluid just like you would your motor oil. Only about 1/3 of the total capacity will drain. Be sure to add only the amount that was drained and use Honda fluid only.
Honda ATF if Auto(don't use Dexron/Mercon) and 10w30 oil or Honda manual Trans fluid(which is fancy 10w30)
Check the fluid level first, it may be low or empty.
On any vehicle, the filter and trans fluid should be done at least every 50,000 miles. I actually change ALL my trans fluid every 30,000.
have take motor and trans out 1996 Honda accord put timing belt
no it wont a s20 will only fit d series motors and the trans you will need would be a h22 trans or h23 trans or even a single cam accord trans but if you want super short gears go with hassports htb plate you can bolt on a short gsr or b16 trans to it
Use only Honda brand ATF-Z1 transmission fluid. There is no substitute, no matter what anyone tells you. Use another fluid and you will experience shifting problems. I would find a Honda dealer with a Wynns trans flush machine and have the trans flushed. This is the only way to remove all the fluid. Change the fluid every 50,000 miles.
There is a drain plug on the right side of the trans(viewed from rear). There is no servicable filter w/o dissasembling the trans. After draining fluid fill through dipstick tube and off u go.
