no spark from the coil, or the icm, or plugs are shot or plug wires, no fuel,no shark no start
i know if you have the 5.4L V8 you will have coil packs. not spark plugs
Yes , its EDIS ( Electronic Distributorless Ignition System ) so it should have spark plug wires ( I believe in 2000 the 4.6 L went to Coil On Plug - C.O.P. )
COP system Coil on Plug. Coils are located on the top of the spark plugs
In a 1997 Ford Ranger : The 2.3 liter four cylinder with Fords twin plug ignition system has ( 2 coil packs ) and ( 8 ) spark plug wires for the eight sparkplugs The 3.0 liter and the 4.0 liter V6 engines have ( 1 coil pack ) and ( 6 ) spark plug wires for the six spark plugs
I Don't Think It Has Wires it has a coil pack on each spark plug ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Only the 4.6L has plugs and wires , plus 2 coil packs. The 5.4L has plugs no wires, plugs 8 coil packs.
you have to replace all of your spark plug wires. there is a coil built into the top of each boot that goes over each spark plug. that's why the wires are so costly.
Please check your spark plugs, wires, distributor and rotor or the ignition coil module. My '93 LX has an ignition coil module.
There are no spark plugs in a diesel engine therefor no plug wires thus no distributor and no coil.
In a 2002 Ford Expedition : ( No , not really ) both the 4.6 and the 5.4 have the Coil On Plug ( C.O.P. ) ignition system , but there is a connection between the individual coil and the spark plug
The coil pack towers are numbered : coil----3---4 pack---2---6 plug----1---5 ---------------------------------------------------- The engine cylinders / spark plugs are numbered : FIREWALL 3 - 6 2 - 5 1 - 4 FRONT
follow your spark plug wires from the engine and they will lead directly to the coil pack. it is what they plug into
