It appears that the Ford Aerostar with 3.0 engine does not have a crank position sensor, but the 4.0 engine does have one.
on the front of the motor under the front crank it has a plug going to the crank.
most common cause is the crank sensor mounted to the transmission bellhousing, the wire harness usually cracks and shorts wires near sensor. also the fuel pump will not work unless it receives signal from crank sensor
R-134. All cars/trucks 1994 and after use R-134. 1993 and before use R-12.
Check the temperature sensor
Are you getting fuel? If you are, does it have enough pressure? Sounds like maybe a fuel pump going out or a really clogged up fuel filter. Also, if you getting enough fuel, maybe you have a bad crankshaft position sensor or ignition coil. Good Luck!!! pull the hose off the top of fuel filter see if your getting fuel if not try the bottom hose if no fuel it the pump or relay check your fuel cut off in the trunk and make sure you have somthing to catch the fuel you will need a friend for this and also the crank sensor is in the distributer so unless you bought it used and also i would try a new coil but check your grounds near the thermostat its under the distributer
trying to replace crank position sensor but i have no ideal where to look it is 1993 infinity G20 could you help me find this sensor
There isn't one.
I don't believe that the altima had a crankshaft position sensor until 1995.

YesYes
http://autorepair.about.com/library/illustrations/bl331a-lib.htmIt's a black sensor located on the bell housing of the transmission. It has one plug in to it. Known as the crank position sensor.
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the rear of the engine. It is mounted just above the oil pan on the engine block.
Yes it is in the front of the engine at the 10 o'clock position of the crankshaft pulley.
On the top of the bell housing. thats the crank position sensor the cam sensor in a 93 is fixed in the distributor to replace it you need a new distributor
