No it does not...the geniuses at GM figured it would be better to make it less serviceable and advise customers that the Transmission Fluid does not normally need service..ok............to check the fluid there is a plug under the trans that has to be removed, in order to check the fluid. I do not know how to fill it up, but i imagine there is also a fill plug there somewhere.
I have a 2003, and I calculated it once on a road trip. it ranges from about 26-32mpg highway. Pretty good! But sucks in town. Stupid stoplights.

There are twelve steps on how to change the transmission filter in a 2003 Alero. Some of the step-by-step instructions are allow the vehicle to cool down completely, raise the vehicle on one side using a floor jack, and then place a jack stand under the vehicle.
Some GM transmissions are sealed for life and have no filler tube. Refer to your owners manual for the scheduled maintenance on the transmission.
