I have had several lawn tractors and found that JOHN DEERe models are very good. I have owned several John Deere tractors and by far the best I have ever had is a model 2350 for several reasons. First it is the smallest UTILITY tractor they make, does not have all the stupid safety features that home lawn mowers have. Has a diesel engine, runs all day on a tank of fuel. Attachments I use are a mower, snow blower, bucket, trailer. You can get all kinds of attachments, post hole driller, scrapers, tillers, etc. etc. etc. These great tractors cost about the same that you would pay for the 'home' lawn mower big models. This model has been replaced by models with numbers like 1041 now. Look for used ones. New I paid about $15,000 for the tractor and all the attachments.

A riding lawn mower or garden tractor will probably be best for a very large area of land. If the area is very large, you may want to look at farming mowers which will get the job done much more quickly

A gas lawn mower is a lawn mower which is powered by gasoline.
Depends on the size of the lawn mostly. A push mower (or better yet a powered drive push mower) would have the best control in rough terrain, but if it is a large lawn a riding mower is better.
Would you use lawn mower plugs in your car?? NO!!!!
A push lawn mower is easier to store if space is an issue. They are ideal for smaller yards and come in many varieties. A riding lawnmower would be ideal if you have a large yard and space to store the mower isn't an issue.
grab it around the throat (carburetor) and choke it until it starts.
