That is a wide-spread debate.

However, it can be argued that on the genetic level, wolves and dogs are essentially the same and so it makes no sense that the vaccine would not be effective. Also, domestic dogs are descended from wolves, so that makes sense too. BUT! That's just one side of things.

I own a wolf hybrid and he's received all the same vaccinations as my domestic dogs and has had no more severe a health complication that the average domestic dog. Therefore, I would submit that his vaccinations have been just as effective.
