Does it really cost 947 for a new Junction block to a 2002 Grand Jeep Cherokee so turn signals and hazard lights work?

My mechanic told me it cost about $500. I have spent $1100 on a left blinker.(This does not include the junction block.) They finally said it was the junction block. The blinker works but other things don't. Now I am getting the runnaround about a new one that is on back order.
