It worked for me--I had vitiligo on over 30% of my body. Within two years, my vitiligo was almost completely gone. The key to this treatment seems to be doing it as regularly and methodically as possible.
I would put it on at the same time, twice a day (only once is recommended) and sit under a heat lamp for thirty minutes to let it absorb. I would also get about 2 hours of direct sunlight per day after application of the medicine.
Putting on make up or lotions on the affected areas seems to hinder treatment.

Its not necessary that if parents have vitiligo then their children will definitely have vitiligo. But there are chances of its inheritance. Some environmental factors may work as triggering agents for vitiligo.
