Does prescription drug Cymbalta cause itching?

I have been on cymbalta for some time and I do have times when I feel itchy all over. I also, on more than one occasion, get blistery itchy bumps. At first I thought it was poison ivy. The first time, it was a large patch from my wrist to my elbow and it crusted over. Now it's like it lies dormat and when I get stressed out I get a patch on my arm. Sometimes it really itches and sometimes it doesn't at all. Originally I thought maybe the meds made me more sensitive to the sun but it's happened when I haven't been in the sun uncovered. I finally came to the conclusion it was the cymbalta. I was off it for a year and never had the problem but it returned when I started taking it again.

I take cymbalta and started getting a very itchy rash on on my face and ears. I was on 60mg a day. I switched to 30mg a day and I still had the itchy rash. They do look like red raised bumps.

Hello. The non-medical ingredients in Cymbalta include Sodium Laurel Sulfate, a chemical which you will find in many hair and Skin Care products, cosmetics, etc., and which is known to cause acne in many people (not all, of course, but it may be worth checking this out). When I began Cymbalta I had generalized itching. Within two weeks this progressed to hives on my hands and feet. I discontinued the drug and these side effects subided in about a weeks time.
