No
You can burn it. Its pine so do not burn in your fire place.
Yes, the PVC or polyvinyl chloride used in vinyl siding or cladding does burn. When PVC burns toxins are formed.
What’s the slate shape asbestos weight?
a VERY long time. Cedar is the most resilient of all woods and anytime you can buy a house with cedar siding you should, it is very expensive to install, but lasts a lifetime (like slate)
I strongly recommend you don't paint the slate. If it looks really bad, use Kutz-It (a varnish remover from Home Depot) and 00-grade steel wool to clean it up. Wash it down, and use a marble sealer or even a canuba wax to finish it off. It takes a lot of rubbing to get the slate to be beautiful again. Slate is historic. It adds value to your home, when it is polished, sealed, and with a smooth glow. True Value, a major hardware line, also recommends you do not paint it, because paint has a generally poor adhesion to slate.
