An engine can fail at any time. Also, if your alternator goes, the car will no longer recharge the battery which means that the car could die after the battery runs out of charge.
If you're looking to manually turn off your engine while in motion, the only safe way to do it is to shift into neutral and turn the key to the off position. This can potentially damage the engine, so only do it during emergencies.
how do i turn off the headlights of my toyota 4 runner 2000 while the car is off?
It's afraid
You cannot actually turn off the lights while the car is driving or in any gear but park. If you would want to turn the lights off while you are parked for some reason, put the car in park, turn off the car completely, pull the emergency brake up, then restart the car. This overrides the headlights and they will stay off while the car is running-however, as soon as you release the emergency brake- the headlights turn back on.
If the car turns off while driving, it can be a sign of a bad ground. It can also mean a fuel system problem.
If this is a newer vehicle, this is a safety feature and there is no way to turn them off while the vehicle is in motion besides disconnecting the wires.
No
it could be out of gas.
From all of my experience with cars if a car turns off while in motion it tends to be the alternator.
They usually don't do that, but if you turn the car off while they're still going, they might get stuck that way. To fix that just turn the car back on. They should go back to the "down" position, then you can turn the car off again.
most likely engine problems but maybe it doesnt move for a while so it wants to turn off
malfunction? Did you turn the car off?
Because it is bad for your car to have it on while filling up
