I had a slip and fall at work 12/23/06 and now have permanent TBI and closed head injury. Can you tell me how to check with the state of Kansas for the status of the claim. I lived and worked in Overland Park, KS at the time. My atty really didn't go after the company although I have the surveillance tape. I was thinking he closed the case but now that I'm better I'm wondering how he could have closed it without any documentation to me. Can I check the status by my social security number?

Was it an on the job injury?
i lost a finger in 1983 do i get money for that
Yes
Are you a teacher or otherwise employed at the school, or a parent at the school? If you were at work when the injury happened, were operating in the normal scope of your duties, it may be covered under Work Comp.
what earnings must i report to workmans comp
Although it is illegal to claim the injury in a job other than the one you were injured in, all you "have" to do is pay taxes and die.
If it happens "on the Job" workmans comp. will cover.
no
Yes - even in the absence of a workers comp policy, the employer is responsible for a work related injury
Answer Workmans Compensation is there to cover men and women who are injured on the job. If you ate something for lunch and got sick from it, workmans compensation won't cover it, as it didn't happen as a result of the job.
I hope
It will depend on your state's worker's comp law. Each state varies. Each Workers comp agency has a webpage to answer your question. If you had medical bills from the fall, Workers comp will usually cover the medical cost if you filed a report with the employer when it happened.
