Coolent leaks from pasenger side of engine.
Possible head gasket leakage? Low on coolant? Air Lock? Water pump not likely.
You have vacuum line leaks somewhere.
It leaks coolant.
Hose going from engine to heater core may have burst. Check all your coolant hoses for leaks.
Feel the heater hoses see if one is hot and the other cold. May be airbound and have to be bled. Could be defective Thermostat that is not closing to allow engine temp to get hot enough disconnect heater hoses and run a garden hose through to make sure heater core is not plugged Check heater control cable to make is operating properly Pressure test cooling system to check for leaks
Sounds like you have air in the heater core. I had the same problem on my 99 Ram. You will have to "burp" the air out of the system.
Most likely it's the heater control valve. If the heater control valve leaks a little it can allow a small amount of heated engine coolant to circulate through the rear heater core.
Check both the heater core as well as the heater hoses for leaks...........
The MOST COMMON PROBLEM with that engine is that the intake manifold gasket BLOWS / LEAKS water into the engine crankcase and mixes with the oil. Replace the intake gasket and FLUSH The engine oil and change the oil filter SEVERAL TIMES Untill engine cleans up.
leaks
You know the heater core is bad when your truck leaks antifreeze onto the floor of the passenger side.
