Who knows, unless by "travel" you mean pilot the plane around the world. In that case: Geraldine (Jerrie) Mock is the first woman to pilot a plane around the world on March 19, 1064. 1084? Really? That's remarkable. However, the truth is that the first woman to pilot an airplane around the world is Ms Prudence Richarda Evelyn Morrow-Tait (aka Dikki). Starting with a Proctor....crashing in Alaska... obtaining a Vultee BT-13 she finished her flight. August 18,1948 to August 19, 1949. Her book Thursday's Child is a must read. I am researching her adventures for a stage play. Anything to contribute? rpwresearch@gmail.com
