I had the same problem on my 91 RS 305. In the dash controls for the A/C,Heater,Defrost, there is a reistat. When I removed and disassembled it, one of the 3 internal springs had collasped allowing the circuit plate to lose contact. I cleaned up the copper circuits, stretched out the spring, and now everything works properly.
Check fuse if the blower is not working. If it is then replace your heater core. if its not then replace your fan switch.

Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1993 Chevrolet Camaro blower motor. Remove the blower motor retaining nuts. Remove the fan from the front of the blower motor. Reverse the process to install the new blower motor.

It is called "Blower Motor Resistor Pack". It will be located near the blower motor. Sometimes you just have to follow the wiring from the blower motor back to the pack to find it. May be located behind the glove box, side kick panel, or behind the dash.
The 1975 Chevrolet Camaro heater blower motor can be found behind the passenger side dashboard. You will need to remove the passenger side kick plate in order to access the heater blower motor.

You can install a blower but you will have one problem. You insert the word, "Cheap". there are no cheap blower kits for your car. Cheap would mean around $1,500 but this kit is around $4,000 and I know of no cheap kit for your Camaro. Want a blower it will cost you. Click the link.

When there is a problem with the vent system it dfaults to the defrost setting. Sounds like you have a problem in the doors that direct the air flow.
The first thing that you need to check is to make sure that the blower motor has power and ground and after that check the fuse and the control panel..............
most likely the cable is stuck, try oiling it, if all else fails buy a new one
