it could be your rear main crankshaft seal, the back of your intake manifold, then back of your intake manifold.
A tranmsission leak from the bell housing will require trans removal to know cause of leak. the float could stick
It is either worn out , glazed, or there is a fluid leak in the bell-housing , or clutch enclosure.
Absolutely!. If the rear seal on the crankshaft is leaking the oil from the engine can migrate to the bell housing and the clutch. It is also possible that the front seal on the transmission can leak and migrate to the clutch.
there are freeze plugs on side of engine if the leak is at the front, check to see if coolant is leaking from water pump and running down to bottom of engine
First you have to identify the fluid that is leaking then locate the source of the leak before we can tell you how to repair it.
Check the oil pump housing gasket
Tom and Ray of Click and clack said it could be a faulty vacuum leak. We have not had time to get our 1995 van checked out yet
What it sounds like to me would be a rear main seal. Oil might be leaking into the transmission bell housing and when the car is reversed the momentum is dumping what the bell housing caught.
Driving through a large amount of water might trap some of the water in the bell housing and cause it to drip out later. There are also freeze plugs in the back of the engine block that may be leaking. Is it water or coolant.
There is a leak in a fuel line. The most common spot is the hoses that run up the back of the block along the trans bell housing. There is a leak in a fuel line. The most common spot is the hoses that run up the back of the block along the trans bell housing.
