No there is nothing that will clean a tank other than using your brains and muscles to do the work. (All living aquatic creatures excrete and make ammonia) If you set up your tank properly, follow the basic rules of stocking, and have a good power filter the only regular cleaning you will need to do is to scrape the algae off the inside of the front glass and syphon the mulm from the gravel bottom of the tank at the front. The basic stocking rules are. :- 1 inch of fish needs at least 1 gallon of water. :- Every tank needs a permanently running cycled filter. (This converts deadly Ammonia into none deadly Nitrate):- Every tank needs at least 50% of its water replaced every week. (This prevents a build up of excessive Nitrate.) Follow the above rules and your fish stand a chance. Fail in any of them and I can guarantee that your fish will be constantly getting sick and will live a shortened lifespan
You don't need to use anything other than lettuce. Float a lettuce leaf in the aquarium overnight, and in the morning it will be covered with snails. Then, take it out and throw it away. Do this until there are no more snails.
Quite obviously crayfish, humans, and many other animals have apendages. Snails, however do not.
A denizen is an inhabitant of a particular place, so anything that lives in an aquarium is a denizen of an aquarium. This includes fish, plant life, aquatic frogs or snails, etc.
crayfish, worms, and snails
In the aquarium were water, weed, sunfish, snails, and a neon fish.
yes
It is only a good sign if you wanted to breed snails. Snails are pests that can destroy the ecosystem in your aquarium, regardless of the type of aquarium. If you are breeding snails (for whatever reason), use an aquarium devoted to your snail breeding. As others have said about snail infestations, when they die they decay, producing ammonia and other poisons. With fish, this can lead to lowered immune function, disease, and eventually death. If you don't want the snails, you can remove them with medicines sold at your local pet store. ~Wigglerthefish Fish Help Forum
