Take key out of ignition and wait for 10 minutes. try again inserting the key carefully. Also, try disconnecting the negative terminal on battery if that doesn't work. leave it disconnected for 30 minutes. Try another key. I base this on computer chip key technology and I don't know what your model or year is. Sometimes the key chips go bad, but that's rare. A false read that set off the anti-theft occurred only once on my computer chip key. That was in 100's of thousand miles. Otherwise call a local caddy dealership or Buick, or Pontiac. They all work off the key chip or can tell you what to do. If they don't, hang up, but not before telling them to ---- themselves. They're so greedy, it's sickening. Good luck
