If it taste sweet it is coolant and you have a leaking heater core that needs replacing. If it is indeed water, your A/C condenser drain line is clogged. Crawl under the car, passenger side, and unclog the drain line near the firewall. Another possibility is your drain holes at the cowl below the windshield are clogged. Another possible Answer To all the folks that have the 1999-2004 Lincolns Navigators and town cars, act now even if you do not have a problem.. The door drain on the very bottom of each door front and back. These are small opening that allow the water trapped by rain, snow, sleet to drain out quickly... The drains are fine they are shaped like a large paper clip on it's side and drain fine. The error of flaw is in the decorative cover over the drain slots. These are black plastic and when installed shrink the drain openings to less than a third of the size they were intended to be.. Road dirt, mud splashes, soap scum from carwashing, and airborne dust and soot then then settle in the accumulated water in the door clog the small drains now created byt th plastic covers . Thus sloshing sound and in some cases even wet door panels on the interior of the car ,when you hit the brakes and come to a quick stop. You may see strange puddles in strange places around the car in the morning and the worst of all rusting of the bottom seams of the doors. Solution remove the covers and chuck them.. or remove them drill a couple of holes in the covers and reinstall them.. While you have them off take care to unclog the drains and flush away or blow out the drain holes (another use for the canned computer air).. There may be some gunk built up in the bottom of the door from standing water and sludge, but now that is a difficult spot to clean..Be sure to check the drain again after a long heavy rain especially if you have been driving at speed in the rain 55mph rain will get into everything after a few minutes. Do what you can and the best of luck. A Lincoln fan.
I hav e the same problem
Yes, I have a 2005 Envoy and have the same problem. Please help me.
If drainage is plugged under the grille adjacent to windshieldwipers, the water will drain into the floor of the front passenger seating area. Remove the grille and clear the plug. To avoid recurrence of this problem, clear leaves and other materials laying on the grille. Mike
The source of the water is probably from faulty or failed window seals surrounding your front & rear windsheilds.
Spilled water can make a floor slippery, which can cause people to slip.
Possible cause; If the navigator has a sun/moon roof. I've experienced a problem with the drain tube which will leak down in back of the lining of the head rail and unto the floor, leaving puddles of water on the carpeting.
Heater Core is the likely culprit
it is probably your water pump
If your refrigerator has a built-in icemaker and/or water dispenser... that's probably it. Try turning off the feeder valve at the water source and see if the problem goes away.
heater core leaking
Is the water clear in color or is it green in color
I had the same problem in my echo and I am guessing that it actually isn't a rain leak. If it is what I think it is you probably had a passenger kick off a hose that is connected to your condenser and the water is coming from your air conditioning. The hose is supposed to lead the water through the floor pan and out the bottom of the car, hense why you get a puddle under the car when you use your A/C. So look as far forward as you can on the passenger side floor and see if that is your problem. If it is actually a rain leak sorry for the big waste of time.
