I have this problem in my pebble tech pool. If you have a over flow valve plug it and fill your pool water level to the dark stain and make sure your chemical levals are good. Run your pool system for a full day this should help take it away. P.S. don't forget to unplug your over flow. I hope this helps

Well, it may take a bit longer than a day, a week , a month. You also have to scrub the tile line with a tile brush or a tile scrub pad and swimming pool tile cleaner( "tile soap"). Depending on the deposit it may take you all summer. This dark line could also be from a sliver type algaecide used to control black algae. If you did not follow the label instructions you are in for a lot of hard work. If you have not been cleaning your tiles on a weekly basis you probably have a calcium line also with the added part of the algae killer silver. It should come off in time tho.

I have found that building the acidity up a little high for a while often fixes that problem. Stains are often the result of tannin from some sort of vegetation on the bottom of the pool.

Additional answer: Sometimes you can use a vac head and vacuum hose to put the acid used to acid wash the pool directly onto the spot, as acid will sink to the bottom of the pool. Depending on the cause of the stain, there also may be a chemical that will treat just that stain and help you clean up the bottom of your pool.

A solution of hydrochloric/ muriatic acid should do it. don't leave it in there any longer then yo have to though. use just enough to do the job.

Also, be very careful when draining your pool that you don't create any issues with your pool structure/integrity.

Try putting some dry chlorine or dry acid in a sock and put the sock directly on the stain for a while.

Clean of fertilizer stains from pot plants of concrete?

can you help Yes i have a product that will remove pot plant stains, they are normally dark rings, this is caused from either minerals leeching out of the pot or the fertilizer/potting mix carrying out staining with the water, if normal acids or alkaline cleaners will not remove the stain, it means that it is a Calcium Silicate stain which has formed a glass like stain from mixing with salts & minerals.

Can vinegar remove coffee stains?

Vinegar has an acidic base which can be used to break down coffee stains. However the likelihood of it completely removing the stain is very low. These type of stains contain dark pigments which adhere to surfaces. To best remove these types of stains, a surfactant based cleaner should be used. This type of cleaner will allow the stain to become permeated by the water used when mixed with the cleaner. When a stain becomes water soluble, it loses it's adherence and can then be flushed away from the surface. The acidic base of vinegar can not do this because it is unable to make a stain water soluble. Therefore, it will only break down the outermost areas of the stain and be unable to break the immediate stain away from the surface it has adhered to.

Stain too dark?

I have a dark stain on a chair made from old wood. Now I would like to have it natural. Is there anything I can do to get this look Use a paint and stain remover to pull out and remove the old stain. It may require more than one application of the remover to get all the old color out, especially if it is the overnight, environmentally friendly type. If it's available in your area and you don't mind using a very strong chemical, methyl chloride strippers are the strongest and fastest. Of course you'll want to wear heavy gloves, long sleeve shirt and long pants while you are using the strong stuff. Once you've removed the old stain, clean it with mineral spirits to remove all traces of the stripper, then stain it whatever color you like, or leave it natural and coat with a polyurethane.

How do you stain a white bathroom vanity darker stain?

You will first have to remove the white paint. Use a paint thinner to help you get the paint off. Then you will want to use a light sandpaper and smooth the wood of the vanity. You can then apply the dark stain. The final touch is to apply a clear sealer and then lightly sand it.

How much brown stain must be mixed in to 5 gallons of black stain to get dark brown stain?

It depends on the specific shades of black and brown stains you are working with. To achieve a desired dark brown color, you would need to experiment with different ratios. Start by adding a small amount of brown stain to a small portion of the black stain and mix well. Adjust the ratio by adding more brown stain if it is not dark enough, or more black stain if it is too dark. Once you achieve the desired shade, use the same ratio to mix the remaining 5 gallons of black stain.
