If the light doesn't come on, rock the bike back and forth, then kick into first, then into neutral. It should always come on. It will not start unless it is in neutral.
Nothing as they are traditionally hard to start. Make sure you have the bike in neutral before attempting as that does make it easier. Type your answer here...
First make sure the bike is in neutral and push kick start down on right side of the bike.
turn key to start position, put bike in neutral, ( one position up from first gear), neutral light should light and push start button. If engine is cold pull out choke cable on left side.

Make sure the sidestand is retracted.
The neutral safety switch on this bike is behind the oil filter's aluminum housing. Don't try to bypass the switch as this will make the bike very dangerous in starting.
It needs adjusted it is still engaging. just like when it is running in Neutral and you put it in first gear it idles down more so than typical of a bike doesnt it ?

Depending on your age I would start on a cr125 Honda. Honda is known for having very high quality bikes and can take a beating.
