after haveing the same problem myself... heres how i solved it.

remove the inner panel... once that is off.

there are screws in the pull cup under a small square cover, one at the release handle, don't force the window switch out of the panel there are two hidden screws behind the panel holding it in.

if the door will not open.

(i forced the panel off) the white plastic clips (called Christmas tree's) are easily replaced and found in any parts stores.

put the window all the way up.

the door actuator needs to be removed.

there should be three screws on the bottom of the latch.

after the actuator is off you can use a small miror to see the lock pawl.

this is at the bottom of the latch. this part needs to be pulled down 1/16".

the latch mechanism needs to roll down in order to release the door.

the only thing holding this is the pawl.

this way you don't risk any parts by drilling.

drill the upper part of the lock will not yield much. the locking pawl in at the bottom of the lock not on the top.
