Yes, it's a form of bullying, but it has some dynamics that are different from school-yard bullying. It may have similar roots, but research has suggested that prevention efforts need to be targeted differently toward cyber bullying, because cyber bullies don't necessarily see themselves as committing the same kind of act as face-to-face bullies.

It involves hurting others in a way using words or threats. They both can affect the way people feel about themselves and their world. When you look at the definition of bullying, it's easy to see what the various forms of bullying all have in common: Bullyingis the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate, or aggressively to impose domination over others. The behavior is often repeated and habitual.

That said, there are also differences between various forms of bullying. But all of these forms of aggression may have similar roots.

Bullying and Cyberbullying are pretty much the same things. They both say rude and hurtful things. However, Cyberbullying is online and you don't have to deal with the awkwardness and being told on (except being banned). Both are still hurtful to each other, even if you are the one who is bullying the other. It's just that extra word, Cyber.
