If the winning party in an election fails to win a majority of the seats in parliament then they may ask another party to form a coalition with them in order to make it easier to pass laws though parliament. Currently in the Uk there is a coalition between the Conservative party and the Liberal Democratic Party , The Leader of the Conservatives , David Cameron is Prime Minister , the leader of the Lib Dems Nick Clegg, Is deputy PM although the title of deputy Pm holds no constitutional value in the UK.
