You can contact the TIP supervisors at any time by leaving a message on their message board.
Similarly, you are free to email them. Each supervisor has an email address following this format:
username@wikianswers.com
You should replace "username" with the TIP supervisor's username.
By default your personal TIP Supervisor when you join the program is the TIP Supervisor who invited you. However you may be reassigned to either of the other TIP Supervisors at any time during your TIP membership. If you want to personally request to be Supervised by a particular TIP Supervisor (Xnicola or Skullcandy88), please let us know. When one of the TIP Supervisors is unavailable for some time, the other will temporarily step in.
The primary duty of a TIP member is to complete the tasks that were issued to them, learn from their mentors and show that you can be a good supervisor on Answers. You will need to be polite to others and demonstrate good communication skills (easily done by regularly asking TIP supervisors questions). TIP members do not have any responsibilities except for themselves.
A supervisor (or any user for that matter) will flag your question if they feel it needs to be flagged. Supervisors are here to help so contact them and they can tell you why they did it.
Absolutely ! The site is moderated by Supervisors (such as myself). Each category has a number of supervisors who oversee what's happening. Any user can contact a supervisor via their message board.
You can contact any supervisor (including me) on here via their message board. Category supervisors are listed to the right of the question screen.
There are many times when there are two or more supervisors on any one category. For example, there are several supervisors in the nursing category including a charge nurse and an administrative nurse.
Try any supervisor, they can examine your activity and if they believe it is good enough they will recommend you. If the supervisor you contact does not want to do this they can tell other supervisors.
Because they are the most helpful supervisors on this website. They will help you with your problem no matter what it is. They are also helping with running a program on this website called TIP where they help and mentor and train people to become supervisors. They both go above the call of duty so to speak compared to other supervisors to help people. In my opinion other supervisors seem to be unhelpful or absolutely lazy. But Skullcandy88 and Xnicola are the two supervisors that make people want to keep coming back to the website. They deserve a special recognition from the people who run the website because they make the best supervisors, they help more than any other supervisor ever has and they make the site a fun place to keep coming back to. Other boring and unhelpful supervisors need to learn from Skullcandy88 and Xnicola. I am currently in TIP being mentored by them and I would personally like to say thank you to them for all the effort they do. Whoever owns answers should be paying them because people like Skullcandy88 and Xnicola are rare diamonds these days.
During your TIP task, if you come across a question that is inappropriate or one that you believe should not be on the site, please send a message or email to a TIP Supervisor so they can deal with it. You could of course notify any Supervisor, but the TIP Supervisors are the only ones who can access the TIP database where we store notes like "brilliant at detecting bad questions".
Because you have stolen the rightful credit from the rightful answerer of the question. Theft of answer credentials is very impolite in this community. Supervisors need to be polite and respectful. You should always use minor edit when you are editing but did not contribute any new information to the answer, for example, if you are correcting spelling or grammar. We look for a Supervisor standard in your contributions during TIP tasks.
TIP Supervisors are hand selected by the program leader.A TIP Supervisor should:Be able to dedicate a couple hours a day online to monitor and guide TIP membersNot be known to disappear from the site for long periodsBe knowledgeable of Wikianswers and the guidelinesHave a positive and encouraging attitudeHave shown excellent loyalty to the websiteGet along well with each of the current TIP SupervisorsBe a good teacher and experienced with helping othersUnderstand how to use Excel SpreadsheetsBe available for a once-weekly meetingHave a brilliant eye for detail and eye for spotting things that are out of placeIdeally be a Senior Mentor and Advanced Supervisor due to additional powersAs TIP grows, we will probably recruit more Supervisors to assist the program. However, too many TIP Supervisors at a time will likely cause confusion and of lack available roles. There are no plans to recruit another Supervisor for the TIP staff at this time.Nor are there likely to be any plans to recruit another Supervisor in the near future (too many staff members will result in confusion, stepping on each others toes and loss/misplacing of information). The current TIP Supervisors are: Xnicola (Senior Advanced Supervisor & Senior Mentor)Skullcandy88(Senior Advanced Supervisor & Senior Mentor)
