It is not recommended to attempt to lose so much in one week.

Although with effort in the first week of a new diet and exercise regime, you may lose that amount because you have more weight to lose, you will not be able to sustain a loss of five pounds each week.

Aim to lose one to two pounds per week. Cardio is the best fat burning exercise. At 236 pounds, and especially if you are new to exercise, it would be best to start with cardio walking rather than other forms of cardio such as jogging, running, trampolining, cross-country skiing, etc. Walking is easier on your joints and it is sustainable long term.
