If you can solder, then soldering the wire back where it belongs is probably the best long term solution. If you don;t know how to solder or don't feel comfortable soldering the particular piece of equipment, a technique that i have used in the past is to place a small ammount of aluminum foil on the terminal you want the wire to attach to, and then fold the foil over the wire, and tape down the whole affair very well with electrical tape or Duct Tape. It is not a permanent solution, and you have to be extremely careful to only let the foil touch the wire and the terminal you want to connect together, other wise you could cause a short. If you are careful though, i have been able to make this setup work well enough to keep things running until you can fix the problem properly.
