The power steering reservoir is located on the passenger side rear of the Engine compartment underneath and behind the alternator. . It is a very tight fit.
On the 2004 Monte Carlo you may want to check with the dealer but I believe that this car was equipped with electronic steering assist and does not have a belt driven pump
where do i put the fluid Its under alternator.
find a good big block Chevy engine and install it.
The Power Steering unit is located under the alt. Make sure the engine is cold. Very tight area. I connected a rubber hose to the bottom of my funnel.
bad switch or contacts
right behind and below the power steering pump on the block.
no power at the sending unit.
This 1 was tricky. The reservoir is in the back part over the engine. You have to lean over your car (on the engine) to find it. Remove the cap and use a funnel or try to pour it in.
I have a 1996 Monte Carlo and my driver power window had stopped working so I thought it was the window motor but I went to the junk yard and got several different master switches off of old Monte Carlos and found one that work and switch the old one with the new and it WORKED!!! =)
I also have a 1997 Monte Carlo LS 3.1 and I've had the same problem. It was the alternator.
stock 180 horse power right off the lot
located on passenger side in back of motor
Are you not able to open the door manually with a key?
