  • No matter if your spouse is there or not and no matter how heartbreaking your circumstances you need to realize that you are going through a normal grieving process and give yourself some time to deal with your feelings. Try to keep in touch with family; go out with friends and try to have a little fun; keep working and if you are not working then try finding work or you could volunteer. It is important you get back out into society so you can meet other people and you will be surprised at how many people there are out there in the same situation you are in. This in itself makes you feel less alone. If you cannot lean on a spouse then lean on a good friend. Time truly does heal and you will be amazed how much stronger and independent you have become having gone through the heartbreak. When in doubt look back at some of the difficult trials and tribulations you have gone through and you did get through them and most of the hurt went away after time.
