Timing Belts and Chains
How can you remove a timing chain from a 1996 Saturn?
You will have to remove the valve cover and then the tensioner. After that take off the timing chain cover and then it'll come right out. It's about a 45 min job. I am at email@example.com if you have anymore questions. Tray

How do you replace the oil pump on a 1996 Saturn SC1?
The oil pump is located in the timing chain cover. If you are going to replace the oil pump, it is strongly recommended that you purchase a new timing chain also. Saturn sells a kit which includes both the chain and the oil pump. Once you have removed the timing chain cover, the oil pump can be removed using a number 30 Torx driver.
