Read on another site, to simply lubricate the latch excessively with WD40 and then continue to open and close door handle until the latch releases and catches. I just tried this minutes ago with my Pontiac sunfire and sat in my car held the door closed and pulled the open & close door handle in and out until the latch caught. It worked great !! Now the door latch catchs without a problem. Apparently, some latchs just need to be lubricated quite often. Hope this helps.
Added: WD40 is NOT a lubricant. You can use it to clean out the latch, but then have to put a lubricant after drying.

yes, you do have a lifetime warranty on your seatbelts. i had the exact same problem with my drivers side seatbelt latch, and i went in to my local Honda dealership and they ordered and installed the part for free.
what is wrong with the door latch? will it not open/latch? what year is the vehicle? all of these are needed to answer your question.
Batch,catch,latch
Check front of dash through windshield left side. Fords also put them on a tag on the drivers door and on the pillar by the drivers door latch
left door latch is broke
Vin on Honda located in front of the drivers side forward dash, under the front windshield, easier to view from the outside looking down. Besure your dash cover is not covering the numbers to view. also on the drivers door jam around the door latch.
get a hanger and straighten out . put small hook in one end. then crawl under front of van. if you get under far enough you will see the latch. just hook it with the wire and pull.(the latch has a hole in the drivers side of it).
It's behind the front bumper on the drivers side. You can see it from the bottom or if you remove the black plastic cover where the hood latch is, you can see it from the top. Sorry, its on the passenger side, not the drivers side. Had my head somewhere else..
