unless you know previous owners, you pretty much cannot tell if rebuilt
No, but you do have to have the oil pan off, and sometimes it is easier to get the oil pan off if the trans has been removed.
That uses an NP31 transfer case, which has been used in models from all of the big three... as far as Jeep goes, it's been in use since 1988 on several of their models, including the XJ Cherokee, the MJ Comanche, and the ZJ Grand Cherokee.
Impossible to answer, without knowing how well it has been maintained all of these years. I have a 1989 Cherokee. With reasonable maintenance (oil changes every 4k to 8k miles), I have 249,000 original miles on her. No transmission issues or heavy engine work. Just the normal water pumps, fuel injectors, etc. issues. Maintenance and driving conditions play a HUGE factor in vehicle longevity, as well as intervals between major mechanical breakdowns. As far as I have experienced, and from what I have heard reported from other Jeep owners, this vehicle is by far one of the hardest cars to 'kill'. It just keeps on running and running.....
Has it ever been in a accident ?
No, she has been married since 1989 to Narvel Blackstock.
It all depends on if it has been rebuilt and the condition it is in. It all depends on if it has been rebuilt and the condition it is in.
If the only thing wrong with the engine is the cylinder heads, yes you should replace just them, Getting a rebuilt motor is expensive and not needed unless the motor has been damaged beyond repair.
Mines from '96, its been rebuilt once, at 189000, at 265000 now.
No. It just means the motor was rebuilt at however many miles. The rest of the truck hasn't been rebuilt, though. That includes the transmission, rear ends, etc.
It has not been rebuilt. It is a great big ruin.
Has this engine ever been rebuilt? It may have so much sludge in the oil passages that oil can not circulate. It might be time for a complete overhaul and cleanout. If the engine has been rebuilt recently, you need to check oil output volume and pressure. Unless the oil pump shaft is actually broken, it's very unusual to have no circulation at all.
Our 1600cc '72 engine gets about 25mpg in town...it has been rebuilt and has 17000 miles on it.
"Rebuilt" refers to something that has been re-constructed .
While it could have been, Jeep does not offer a V4.
Yes. The structure has been entirely rebuilt.
the valves may be to tight soo lossen them up then adjust them later
depends on engine generaly,if it has been rebuilt ,but i recomend castrol 10w-40 high milage
