Warm engine.
Place drain pan under drain plug.
Remove drain plug (one for engine, one for transmission/primary drive)
Remove and drain filter, again with pan underneath to catch oil.
Install new filter.
Install drain plug(s).
Add new oil and verify level per owners manual (see link below).

The engine oil capacity of a Buell Blast is 2 quarts including the oil filter. The transmission/primary drive oil capacity is one quart.

There are 2 plugs, one for engine oil, the other for transmission/primary drive oil. Both are underneath the engine/transmission case near the kick-stand support on the left hand side. Remove the clutch cover or the primary chain inspection cover and add the transmission oil there.
Any motorcycle oil with the weight 20W50. I use Valvoline 4 stroke motorcycle oil 20W50 and it works fine!

Total oil capacity is 2.5 quarts according to the Buell Owner's manual, but always check the level according to instructions in the owners manual. Check oil only immediately after warm engine shutdown with the bike on level ground but resting on the side-stand.
