Will an alternator from a 1977 Pontiac Lesabre fit a 1977 Chevy Impala?

1977 ford truck wont start?

battery cables could be corroded, check distributor , spark plugs, ignition wires from switch. try jumping the solenoid if it tries to crank the ignition switch may be out. if it's cranking and not starting also check your fuel lines make sure they are nor clogged if dual tanks check tank switch under driver side. may not be getting fuel if crb float is stuck as well. if it was dual tank and one tank removed make sure switch is on the right tank.

How do you repair a 1977 2WD 4 speed Toyota with 20r engine that has been misfiring and fuel temp gauge and 'charge' light have been turning on-off?

rebuild carburetor and put a anti back fireing system in it or put a timing chain kit in it. Anti back firing system?, lol, what a bunch of hooey. If your truck is misfiring, you may need new plugs, check the easy 1st, plugs, distributor, you may just need to time it. Timing chain would be a last thing to check. And is it back firing thru the carb or exhaust, if it's the carb you have timing issues.
