VERY!. The NOAA of the United States keeps track of named hurricanes. In the Pacific they are called typhoons. Since they have (there) almost nothing to do with the United States, we may not track them. For the best stuff, go to www.noaa.gov, and type hurricane in their search bar. THANKS

Miami is currently rated the 2nd most vulnerable city in the United States for a hurricane to occur. Its presence near the sea, as well as being located to where most hurricanes are formed, caused its rating.

Cyclones are common off Australian waters during late Spring to early Autumn, particularly during the Summer months of December, January and February. According to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, there may be as few as 5 severe and non-severe cyclones (1987) or as many as 20 (1983). Figures seems to average around 10-15 per cyclone season, as these are of varying intensity, with many not actually making landfall at all. The most active part of the world for tropical cyclones (the generic term for hurricanes, typhoons, etc.) is the northwestern quadrant of the Pacific Ocean with storms impacting East Asia.
