In 1955, Rosa Parks was an African-American living in Montgomery, Alabama -- a city with laws that strictly segregated blacks and whites. On 1 December 1955, after her day of work as a seamstress at a local department store, Parks boarded a city bus. When she refused to give up her seat to a white man, the bus driver called police, and Parks was arrested and fined. The resulting bus boycott by African-Americans, led by Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., caused a national sensation. The boycott was a success and led to desegregation in Montgomery and elsewhere in the United States.

Rosa Parks is a woman who didn't listen to the bus drivers or the police when they told her what to do. She just did what she wanted. She didn't want to feel unloved wanted to be a normal person who didn't get arrested for not getting up for a white person.

OK this is totally not what happened to. it had nothing to do with being unloved and not getting arrested but with standing up fir whats right.

Martin Luther Kig helped her by canpaining for the boycott and supporting her through the bad times when nobody else did.

Martin Luther King Jr. helped Rosa Parks on the bus by encouraging her to go on with the civil rights black movement. He also helped her go really far in history by nominating her as Secretary of the Civil Rights Movement for colored people. So ya, he didn't really do much about the bus thing, he pretty much just heard about it and became friends with her and informed her about their movement against segregation. Bad segregation!! >=(
