The land supplies most of what traditional aboriginals need to live, like food, shelter, medicines etc. In Dreamtime stories, land forms also help aborigines explain some of their history to the generations that follow.
They don't see god in the same way a European would but Yes
No, there was land in the way.
the same way knowledge of the stars was useful to sailors it let them figure out which way to go in order to get home.
As the Europeans thought that they were a better people than the Aborigine, they assumed themselves the leader of the 'new land'. Totally disregarding the Aboriginal culture and way of life, they enforced the English way of life and laws upon the natural inhabitants. The Aboriginal way of life was to live off the land, they lived a nomadic way of life, travelling to different parts of bush to get their food and shelter. Their religion was the Dreamtime. However that did not matter. Think about it, what would you do if someone came into your neighbourhood or lifestyle and said. "You can no longer live like you do, you need to follow MY rules"! The English settler's settled the land. They took the land off the natural inhabitants, remembering, the Aboriginals didn't own the land, they lived off it. There were no owners. The settlers killed the local food sources to eat, so when the Aboriginals decided, " You kill ours, so we will kill yours", things got heated. Settlers were speared, Aboriginals were shot, so, Governor Stirling took 25 mounted, armed troops to a river in Pinjarra, where they split into 2 groups, and attacked a group of Aboriginals from two sides. The Aboriginals had no chance. It wasn't only the Men who were hunted, the war party shot, women, children and elders. Out of the 70 Aborigines only about 10 survived. There was one fatality on the European side, Captain Ellis, fell off his horse and sustained head injuries. Is this a battle? Should it be known as a Battle in history books? Thet say History is written by the winners, did they win by destroying a whole family and tribe of Natural Inhabitants? Is the Battle of Pinjarra a worthy title?
When Sir John Franklin finally docked near the arctic, he met some aboriginals. They traded their goods with one another (fur, guns, etc.) The aboriginals helped John Franklin with maps and navigating. They helped him and his crew find their way around the new land they had just stopped in.
Yes. Burning unwanted vegetation enriches the soil with nutrients and helps to fertilize it.
The way that it effects aboriginals in Canada is that when the immigrants move and move we run out of land to supply them with and need to take it from aboriginals. Also we will need to fish and hunt to supply the Immigrants with food which depletes the aboriginals food source and way of life. the last reason is the immigrants come over and occupy jobs for less pay making it difficult for aboriginals to get jobs effecting there quality of life
