NO!!! In western society, slavery has never occurred since Roman times. Western society (Britain, France, Spain and Portugal), have traded in slaves from Africa to America. Hence African -Americans. In a more enlightened and free society, there is no slavery. Great Britain passed the Abolition of Slavery Act in 1833, 30 years before the American Civil War , which ended slavery in the USA.
"Doctor" in medieval times meant a highly qualified university student, not someone who treated sick people. Doctors did not live in manorial sites. Merchants lived in towns and cities and did not live in manorial sites.
