However, Thomas Hooker participated in the attempts of the Puritan leaders to deal with Roger Williams and Anne Hutchinson.Thomas Hooker led a group of followers to form a more liberal Puritan colony in Hartford, Connecticut, while Anne Hutchinson and Roger Williams were banished from Massachusetts and went to Rhode Island.
